Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 August 2026

This document describes the data we collect through this site, what we do with it and how you can ask for it to be deleted. It covers the site only: data you entrust to us during an engagement falls under the contract between us.

1. Who processes your data

e-gbavou, Agla Hlazounto C/3194, Cotonou, Benin.
For any question or request: contact@e-gbavou.com or +229 01 97 62 85 04.

2. What we collect, and when

Only what you enter in one of our forms or on the booking page. No profiling, no data bought from a third party.

  • Identify you and reply to you : name, email address, and if you fill them in, phone number, company and message.
  • Understand what you need : the qualifying details you choose to give: budget in mind, timescale, project type, address of an existing application.
  • Know where you came from : the campaign parameters in the address you arrived through, the landing page and the page carrying the form. That tells us which channel works, not who you are.
  • Arrange a meeting, if you book one: the date chosen and the booking reference.

3. On what legal basis

Legitimate interest: replying to a commercial enquiry you started yourself, and keeping track of our business exchanges. You can object at any time, without having to give a reason.

4. Who else has access

Your data is hosted on our own server. Three providers are involved, each on a specific function:

  • Resend : delivery of the emails we send you.
  • Cal.com : booking meetings and sending the confirmation.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile : protecting the forms against bots.

We neither sell nor rent your data, and we pass it on to no other third party.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Our servers and our team are in Benin, which does not benefit from an adequacy decision by the European Commission. This transfer is governed by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the Commission. We will send you a copy on request.

6. How long we keep it

Twenty-four months after our last exchange, unless a contractual relationship has begun in the meantime, in which case the statutory accounting retention periods apply. After that, the record and the exchanges attached to it are deleted.

7. Cookies and audience measurement

This site sets two cookies, and neither of them serves advertising.

  • i18n_locale remembers the language you are reading the site in. It is set as soon as you arrive and lasts one year.
  • lead_ref is set after a form is submitted. It lasts thirty minutes and only links your booking to your enquiry, so that you do not have to type your details twice.

Both are necessary for the site to work and therefore do not require your consent.

We measure the site's audience with Umami. That measurement sets no cookie and does not follow you from one site to another: it counts page views and a few actions, with no profile and no lasting identifier. The script is loaded from Umami's servers.

No advertising cookie. Should that change, this document will be updated and your consent asked before anything is set.

8. Your rights

You can request access to your data, its correction or its erasure, or object to its processing. Write to contact@e-gbavou.com : we reply within thirty days. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
