Our team carried technical responsibility for the project, from design to deployment:

• The entry journey: account creation, SMS verification and secure sign-in.
• Posts and the feed, with likes, a discovery area and suggestions of accounts to follow.
• Ephemeral video stories, with augmented reality filters and effects applied live from the camera.
• Real-time instant messaging, including sending photos and videos.
• The internal virtual currency: wallet, store and orders, which carry the platform's monetisation.
• Moderation: reports, AI content detection, account certification and management of micro-influencers.
• The video pipeline: every video is converted for streaming and given thumbnails, for smooth playback on any phone.
• The complete back office: dashboards and statistics, management of users, featured content, push notifications and support.
• Scaling up: the platform moved from a single application to an architecture of independent services, where each major function, from the feed to notifications, scales separately.

Few teams have built a social network end to end. This project meant taking technical direction of a demanding consumer product, spanning video, real time and heavy load, and evolving its architecture as it grew without ever interrupting the service.
